Study Tips for Numbers & Time

1

Give the irregular spellings their own cards: dieciséis to diecinueve are single words, and quinientos (500), setecientos (700) and novecientos (900) break the pattern of the other hundreds.

2

Say numbers aloud whenever you see them (prices, bus numbers, phone numbers). Slow number recall is what trips learners up in real conversations, so speed matters as much as accuracy.

3

Remember the singular trap when telling the time: es la una for one o'clock, but son las dos, son las tres and so on for every other hour.

4

Write days and months in lower case (lunes, enero) and use el or los instead of a preposition: el lunes means on Monday, los lunes means every Monday.
